Official Trip to Karachi

I left for Karachi on Friday, February 12, 2010. Sir Tassaduq, Mr. Faheem and Mr. Junaid were with me as well. We were to conduct a test (PCSIR). We reached Karachi at 6 o clock, since we could not sleep the night before friday as we kept printing papers and sorting them so I went to bed at 9 on Friday. On Saturday we did the seating arrangements etc and on Sunday we conducted the test. We had few problems as well while conducting the test specially the distribution of Paper etc. But all is well thats end well so came back yesterday night. Now we are sorting the answer sheets department wise and then shuffle wise and then we will compile the result.

Final Result Submitted!

I submitted the final result yesterday. 13 students in my subject got 4 GPA. Overall it was fun teaching a class of MBA.

Snowfall in Abbottabad

I really enjoyed the snowfall in Abbottabad today. When i woke up i didnt feel like going to office so asked Waheed to give my leave and went to bed again. When i woke up again it started snowing outside.  Went with my cousin Nauman to Sarban Mountain to take a few pix of Abbottabad after Snow and later went to COMSATS and took few pix there as well. In short really enjoyed the snowfall

The best and the worst of 2009

Year 2009 is about to end with just one more day to go. This year had so many moments to cherish and at the same time few to regret  as well.

• The year started with a death of my taya Musahib Khan Jadoon on January 11, 2009.
• Yasir got married in March, it was fun, i even went to Karachi to attend his Walima.
• Pakistan won the T20 World Cup in June and it was something like after 17 years we had something to celebrate.
• July 06, 2009 my birthday, went to Dhoongagali with my bro and sister to celebrate my day.
• I closed my office Web Maestros and applied for a job “Software Engineer” in COMSATS IT Center and was selected.
• Joined COMSATS as Software Engineer on 10th August, 2009. My first job after i closed my office so it was a great moment for me.
• Ayaz visited Pakistan and we spent sometime together as well and its always fun when we are together.
• I became the faculty incharge of Aadrish(Fine Arts Club), the society that i founded as a student.
• Mehraj left and I was given his class MBA1 to teach, teaching was not a part of my job still i opted for it. I was confused on first day but later things started getting better and better.
• Altaf Uncle died, he was suffering from cancer.
• My Elder sister, nephew and my bro in law came to Pakistan after two and a half years, it was really great to see them after such a long time.
• My younger sister got married on December 16/17th.
• Yesterday my elder sister, bro and my nephew left back for Sydney and I will miss them lots especially Ali.

MBA (FA09) Feedback!

Dear Students,

This is probably the last month so I just wanted to have your feedback on different things which will help me in future life. Where do you think I need to improve? How did you find me as a teacher? Your comments about me as a person. What you hate/like about me?  Are you satisfied with your results and course. Since I am not a teacher by profession I was given this class for only this semester and your class will be my first and last class. I will remember you all and I pray and hope that you people also do the same.  Your comments/suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Its been 3 months and 5 days I joined COMSATS as Software Engineer.  As i mentioned in my previous posts that I have been given MBA1 as well after Mehraj left.  Its my first experience as a teacher, i really was confused on my very first day with MBA1 but since then things are very much in control. I am also the faculty incharge of Aadrish (The Fine Arts Club) and successfully organized a Poster Competition and yesterday we (Aadrish Team) had been to Ayubia on a Picnic Trip.  It was fun there and we really enjoyed lots.  My elder sister coming to Pakistan tonight Inshallah at 1:00 am from Sydney after almost two and a half years and its a lot of time and my nephew had not even started crawling when they left and now he is 3 years old. So I am really looking forward to meet them.

My first teaching experience!

Mehraj has left COMSATS and has joined Zong Islamabad, he was teaching MBA-1 (Computing for Management), i will be teaching his class and that will be a new experience for me. MBA1 has 61 students. University is closed for students after the blast in Islamic University and it will open on Monday, November 02, 2009. Teaching is not a part of my job and its an added task given to me and ever since i was assigned the class, University is closed so I am really looking forward teaching MBA1 after University opens.

• Ayaz was here yesterday and we spent sometime together, went to Harno and later had a lunch together, had chit chat, gup shup and enjoyed cherishing the old moments moments spent together. (Ayaz is working in a bank in Qatar)
• My colleague left for Saudia for Umrah and possibly Hujj and is on 3 months Ex Pakistan leave, its been almost 3 weeks now.
• “She” is getting married finally in the last week of this month and so much to my surprise/shock, the person she is getting married to is my teacher.
• Mehraj is joining Zong from 2nd Nov and Kashif probably will also leave in a few days so we will be left with me and Waheed in the office. (Mehraj & Kashif are my office mates)
• I have also taken over Aadrish (Fine Arts Club founded by me) as faculty incharge.

First month of job ends today!

August 10, 2009 I joined COMSATS Abbottabad as a Software Engineer and today it completes one month. There were few things which i was missing working as a freelancer like gatherings, dining out/lunch together/aftaris etc Plus in a work place environment you learn a lot of things.  I hope and pray that my job goes along well in future and i do something/contribute to the organization i am working for.
